My goal in building this version of Seratone was to enable inspiration and creativity. What better way to serve your project that in the peace and privacy of your own creative retreat?

Since its new opening in July 2023, Seratone Studio is in a big heritage house in the countryside, 10 minutes north of the US border, 15 minutes south of Magog (one of the Eastern Townships of Quebec’s most charming cities). This house is as old as the town it resides in, Fitch Bay… roughly 175 years. Lots of history, some of the most interesting being that in it’s first 30 or so years, this house was known as Hamilton Hall – a place where people congregated to dance and socialize in the large ballroom upstairs. There were small live orchestra’s playing music, oyster dinners, and rooms for rent available to travelers passing through the town which was a main hub between Boston and Montreal in the late 1800’s.

All that to say, hosting is something this building has been familiar with since it’s Hamilton Hall days. It’s a great place to spread your artistic wings and dive into the process of tapping into your inspiration and creativity. Without the distractions of your day-to-day life, without the chaos of the city… without another place you need to be. There are many comfortable bedrooms, all upstairs where the studio is so that if you’re struck by inspiration in the middle of the night, you can come and play in the peace and privacy of the studio.
